The North Dakota Farmers Markets and Growers Association promotes farmers markets to “connect producers and consumers.” It seeks to develop marketing tools and strategies for producers and market managers “to ensure long term sustainability of rural North Dakota” and to “increase consumer and procuer awareness on the benefits of fresh, locally grown products.” The Association maintains listings of over thirty farmers markets throughout North Dakota, from Anamoose to Williston.

The Entrepreneurial Center for Horticulture (ECH) at Dakota College at Bottineau assists small to mid-size farmers and gardeners in producing organic and specialty vegetables for sale. The Center provides technical assistance in marketing, business strategies and production for all types of vegetable and helps producers find the right market for their products.
The Farmers Market Coalition maintains a Resource Library for farmers, managers of farmers market, market researchers, and organizations which sponsor or are looking to start farmers markets. The Coalition’s database of resources “were developed by a wide spectrum of organizations, agencies and academic institutions” and it recognizes “the spirit of sharing” which allows it to make the resources available in one searchable portal.
